Remove locally stored Identity data
Remove locally stored Identity data

This article discusses how to remove all data stored by an Identity from your local computer.

Updated over a week ago

MirageID Identities store a variety of information on your local computer, both for regular "running" purposes, and to ensure that remotely synced data can be locally cached. To remove all data stored by an Identity from your local computer, follow these steps.

Note! This will only remove locally stored data. Data that is synced between Identities such as bookmarks and similar will re-sync once the Identity is opened again

1. In the Identity, go to Settings, Privacy, and click on Clear browsing data.

2. In the Clear Browsing Data dialog box, tick on the option you want to clear and click CLEAR NOW. There are three options:

  • Clear Cookies and Local Storage: Removes stored settings, preferences, and session data.

  • Clear History: Deletes your browser history.

  • Clear All Identity Data From Local Filesystem: Clears all Identity-related information from the local filesystem. This will immediately close and re-open the Identity. Caution! - cannot be undone!
